What is a Carolina Reaper?

The Carolina Reaper is one of the world's most famous super-hot chillies, instantly recognisable by its wrinkled red skin and characteristic pointed tail.

With around 1.4–2.2 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), this little chilli means serious business. 🔥 But it's not all about heat: Carolina Reapers also have a surprisingly fruity, slightly sweet flavour, making them legendary among chilli lovers and hot-sauce makers.
